Book Description:

Charlie is a sensually-inspired art student, desperately seeking an escape from the abusive past that haunts her and a tragic accident that emptied her heart. Scarred and unable to love, her yearning for physical pleasure leads her into a tantalizing, dangerous world of power and seduction. The anonymity of the deal offers security; the money brings financial freedom and the madam is the mother figure she longs for.

But the thrill of the mansion and its arousing dominance quickly fades when she meets renowned-yet-mysterious Cameron Hardy, whose intense baby blue eyes send a nervous flutter through her core. Cameron is sexy, and not in a subtle way. He stimulates Charlie's art, her intellect and her desires. Just as he begins to break through her emotional boundaries, she discovers a devastating connection between her past and her scandalous work at the mansion, shattering everything she thought to be true.

Provocative, intoxicating and erotic, Seductive Shadows is the unforgettable tale of a young woman's self-discovery as she learns to forgive, to love and be loved, and to find redemption amidst a remarkable journey that will captivate your mind and stimulate your soul.

Book Excerpt:

I wasn’t a prostitute. I was an artist who used her fingers to paint a fantasy and her body fulfilled it. The muse, or the canvas, but always the artist. And when I was desired by men was when I felt the most creative.

Just because I was hired to provide pleasure, didn’t mean I couldn’t enjoy every moment of passion and every uninhibited deviant thought. I was turned on by the cameras that would point toward my bed, the lust that would be whispered in my ears, and playing out the fantasy that I would compose. Not knowing anything about these men, what the top half of their faces looked like, their names, meant they also knew nothing about me. I would never have to discuss my past or the accident; the only thing I would have to unzip would be my lingerie. I would have enough money to pay off my mother’s debt in a reasonable amount of time and take more than one class a semester. The arrangement was perfect.

But then I met Cameron. With icy, baby blue eyes so intense...he was sexy, and not in a subtle way. Bold and confident, he inspired my art and challenged my emotions and, for the first time since the accident, I felt a strong connection to another person.

I had a burning desire to trust Cameron, to escape the dark life I had been leading and reveal to him the wounds of my soul…until I discovered a devastating connection between my past and the mansion. And in the midst of all the truth I uncovered, I learned my life was in imminent danger....

My Book Review:

Seductive Shadows is a gritty and provocative story of one girl's journey of self discovery. Written in the first person narrative, author Marni Mann weaves an enticing, dark, and emotional tale that delves into the life of Charlie, a twenty-three year old art student. Charlie has had a troubled life, through her passion for art, she tries to escape her abusive past with a neglectful and alcoholic mother, and the memory of a tragic accident that occurred five years ago, but the past still haunts her, leaving her scarred and unable to love. Charlie uses art as a way to channel her emotions and sexual acts as a way to forget her past. Charlie accepts a position in a high class brothel that allows her to hide behind a mask as Cee, her alter-ego that enables her to leave Charlie behind. When she meets a fellow artist named Cameron, she finds someone who she can trust and love. Cameron encourages Charlie to take the journey toward self-discovery in order to move forward with her life.

Seductive Shadows is so much more than an erotic tale, it is a riveting story that takes the reader to a deeper and emotional level as it delves into a flawed person's journey to come out of the recesses of her dark shadowy past and into the light in search of herself. The author does a wonderful job of creating layers upon layers within this story, alternating between flashbacks to the past with the present, she entices the reader with intriguing twists and turns as each of the layers are uncovered. You can't help but feel for Charlie as her story unfolds. From her troubled life with her mother, to the tragedy and loss of her best friend, to the choices she has made in her life, it is easy for the reader to relate and understand Charlie, feel her pain, and cheer as her journey leads her towards self-discovery and moving forward in her life. This story deserves to have a sequel, it's open-ended and surprising conclusion leaves the reader wanting more. I would love to be able to continue to follow Charlie and Cameron's story, I know they have more to tell the readers.

Seductive Shadows is a thrilling and provocative story, it is captivating and thought-provoking, it is simply a must read.

Book Description:

"We were two broken souls who had found each other in a world of shadows. We were held together by a connection of secrets, dark and fearful and reluctant to leave. Their depth was seductive and overwhelming, an endless ocean of black that threatened to cover the brilliance we kept reaching for with each other."

With her art career flourishing and the mansion predators no longer a threat, Charlie is creating a new life. Her desires have changed, and she has a chance at a healthy, loving relationship with Cameron--if they can bury the memories and doubts that plague them.

Can they overcome the destruction of their clouded pasts, or will the revelation of more painful, shocking secrets pull them back into the shadows?

Book Excerpt:

I lifted my arm out of the comforter and placed my fingers on top of his. I couldn’t stop the guilt that washed through me. I had questioned Cameron’s feelings. I had thought that maybe he still wished I was wearing my mask, or maybe that he wanted me to put one back on. And now I knew none of that was true.

“I need to ask you something,” I said, squeezing his hand, “and I need you to be completely honest with me when you answer.”

He nodded. “Always.”

Now I was the one who was holding on. “You’re not going to lose interest now that you’ve—”

“Never,” he said interrupting me.

“But you’ve gotten what you wanted now. What else is there?”

“That’s where you’re wrong, Charlie. You haven’t given me everything that I want.”

“I haven’t?” I couldn’t imagine what might have been missing.

He exhaled through his nose and shook his head. Then he lifted his hand and rubbed it over my cheek. The intensity in his touch hadn’t diminished at all. It was even more severe than before. But behind all that raw emotion was a softness that was pushing its way to the surface. “I’m not talking about your body.” His thumb went to my lip, dragging it out from my teeth. “It’s true that I’m as insatiable as you, and that no matter how many times I have you, it isn’t enough. I want you again…and again. And every time, you give me that.” I didn’t understand what else there was. “What you haven’t given me all of is…your love.”

My Book Review:

In Seductive Secrecy, Charlie and Cameron's story picks up where it left off in the first book of the series, Seductive Shadows. Author Marni Mann easily draws the reader back into Charlie and Cameron's relationship. This couple has a complicated relationship full of troubling pasts, dark secrets, personal demons, and complex issues that keeps drawing them back into the shadows. While their relationship is intense and once again tested, this passionate couple is truly perfect for each other, and their ability to sustain their love, overcome obstacles, heal, and move forward is oh so worth the read!

Seductive Secrecy is an amazing story about two broken souls who find each other, and conquer the shadowy obstacles that life keeps throwing their way in order to help them to grow, heal and find a way to stay together.

Book Description:

Dylan Farrow puts on his pants every morning one leg at a time, just like everyone else at the Kerrigan Advertising Agency. He handles high-pressure projects with a fast turnaround. He's prized for his keen intellect and admirable performance. But how did he get where he is today—to the level of Junior Executive of Design Production?

Well, that involves how he takes his pants off...  and for whom...

Hoping to break through the glass ceiling under which she's been trapped for years, Valerie Caplan picks up her life and moves to Seattle. After hearing about the position of Senior Executive of Design Production from an art director at Kerrigan, she decides to apply. When she lands the big interview, she never thinks for a minute that she'll have any serious competition. She assumes that she has the job in the bag...until she discovers that the only competition has something she doesn't have—the willingness to go outside the office to impress Danica Stewart, their uptight female boss.

Book Excerpt:

Dylan

I barely got anything done all day. I was more eager to see Kimberly than I thought I was. The thought occurred to me that I had no idea what she looked like. This was more or less a blind date—or interview, whatever one chose to call it. Fake interview?

I'd gotten us reservations at Barnside, a high-end restaurant in Bellevue that served only organic food. They actually grew it in a garden not too far from the building. A college buddy of mine owned and operated it. He was always too happy to oblige when I asked for a table, though they were always booked up.

I'm here, she texted.

By the statues, I replied.

I kept an eye out for a young-ish woman, but didn't expect what I found. She looked fresh out of the cradle. Petite with long, wavy, blonde locks and tanned skin, she made me worry that I'd set up a date with jail-bait.

“Hi!” she said animatedly.

“Hey there. Ms. Greer?” I asked.

“Yeah! Are you Mr. Farrow?”

“That's me.” I held out my arm for the girl—it didn't feel quite right to call her a woman.

I checked in with the host and was told it'd be a few minutes before our table was ready. We sat in the waiting area.

“I love this place,” she said, looking around at the lobby trappings. “I've only been here a few times, though.”

Did they have to get you a high-chair? I thought.

I picked up and looked over the menu. “They have a great T-bone here.”

“We're ready for you,” said the hostess. “This way please.”

We followed her to the table, set up with a single red rose in a vase and two candles in mason jars. It was the same romantic setting I requested for all of my dates.

I pulled out her chair for her and she looked pleasantly surprised. All of her past boyfriends must have been douchebags not to have pulled out her chairs for her.

“So, Mr. Farrow, you're looking for an assistant?” she asked. “I can promise you, I'm qualified for doing pretty much anything you'd need.”

I'd forgotten about the lie. “Oh. Yeah. I was hoping to ask you some questions about your experience.”

“Good evening, ma'am, sir. Here is the wine list for this evening,” the waitress handed me a leather bi-fold. A wise choice on her part.

“Tonight, we recommend the 2007 Foris, Pinot Noir and the 2012 Chasing Venus, Sauvignon Blanc.”

“We'll have a bottle of the Foris, please. And can we start with the satay?” I handed the wine list back to her.

“Yes, sir. Excellent choices. I'll be back in a few minutes.”

Kimberly looked pleased with the idea of a whole bottle of wine. I didn't plan on drinking much of it myself, after all I had to drive. Dinner went swimmingly. I was able to find out a few things about Danica Stewart, but nothing much out of the ordinary. She wasn't married. She had no children. Previously she'd worked for another major company in Seattle, but moved up to the division director position when it was offered to her. I still wished Jan would have said something about leaving or moving on. I might not have had to go to these lengths to gain information.

“There's more,” Kimberly said, her plump lips swaying over her fifth glass of wine. She leaned over, almost dipping her substantial breasts into her largely untouched dinner. “She dropped something a week before I left and I kept it.”

I was overjoyed. Finally some real dirt.

She set her wine down carefully and rummaged through her purse. She slid a card from her wallet and handed it to me.

The Red House, Redmond.
No admission without application.
Members only.

The Red House, huh? It was too interesting not to check out. I grinned at the card. Whatever that place was, it sounded devious. I couldn't wait to go. I pulled out my wallet and tucked the card in and removed my gold credit card to pay the bill.

“Oh! How sweet.” Kim put her hand on her heaving chest. “I was going to cover myself. What a gentleman.” Then her eyes darkened and everything about her changed. Suddenly she didn't look so young, naïve and stupid anymore. I realized, with surprise, that she was all woman. “So,” she said, rubbing her heeled feet against my ankle. “Your place or mine?”

Mine.

My Book Review:

Dylan Farrow is sleeping his way up the corporate ladder by seducing his female bosses at Seattle's Kerrigan Advertising Agency. He has a cutthroat reputation, isn't afraid to use his body, and is ruthless enough to do anything to succeed, it's what he does best!

Valerie Caplan left her dead end position at Trinity Advertising Corporation in Denver to pursue a position within the advertising industry in Seattle.

Valerie applies for the position of Senior Executive of Design Productions at Kerrigan Advertising Agency, the same position that Dylan thought he was up for promotion. New Divisional Director Danica Stewart throws a monkey wrench into their plans when she interviews both Dylan and Valerie at the same time, and challenges them to work together on a lingerie campaign project in order to determine who is more suitable for the position.

What do you get when you put together a sexy ruthless man and a sassy determined woman, and challenge them to compete for the ultimate prize of "The Position?" One sexually tension filled love/hate relationship that turns into something more, and a not-too-subtle undermining by a dominant female boss who puts her own complicated spin into the competition!

In The Position, author Dahlia Salvatore weaves an exciting erotic romance novel that easily draws the reader into Dylan and Valerie's story. Set in Seattle and told in an alternating first person narrative by Dylan and Valerie, the reader follows along as their love/hate office relationship is tested to the max with enough sexual tension, drama filled interactions, comedy, and a ruthless plot twist involving a domineering female boss and a secret domination sex club community.

This juicy story kept me thoroughly entertained and turning the pages as the intriguing and oh so steamy plot twists unfolded. Dylan is a guy that you wish you could hate because of his unconventional, cocky, and ruthless style, but he's just too damn sexy! Then add in a sassy, independent, and determined woman like Valerie, and you know that fireworks are going to explode when these two people come together for more than just a job competition. And if that isn't enough to whet your interest, throw in a female boss with a secret life who is determined to make Dylan hers, and you have one hell of a hot erotic romance story that will leave you breathless!

Book Description:

Home is Where the Heat Is

The Twisted Mosaic's reader favorite, Claire, has some twisted fun of her own.

Dependable paralegal Claire O'Connor knows the man of her dreams is out there waiting for her, and she's ready for him. Imagine her surprise—and delight—when she discovers not one but two men who lust for her. One adores her; the other challenges her. One makes sense; the other is a gamble.

Despite the family tragedy that shaped his past, JT Luck has only known professional success. His personal life, however, is a failure. He doesn't want a relationship, and while his 'let it ride' attitude keeps most women at a distance, Claire is eager to roll with him.

But when she finds out Kurt Langston, the office's resident computer geek, harbors a secret crush for her, she wonders if he's the safer bet. Kurt doesn't get close to people, and his feelings for Claire make no sense in his carefully ordered life. His unexpected bond with JT pushes him to take chances he never imagined.

Go all-in or go home? Either way, the heat could be more than they can handle.

Book Excerpt:

Kurt clenched his fist to still his shaking limbs. He nodded then gazed at the woman beside him. Her flushed cheeks and breathless words highlighted her excitement, but her eyes held a whisper of fear.

"Do you really want to do this?" he asked.

"Yes." She wiggled closer to him.

"I know you want him." Kurt nodded toward JT as he tipped the waiter and closed the door behind him. "And I understand your craving for two guys, but are sure you want me?"

"Why not you?"

"In all the time we've known each other, you've never once shown any interest in me."

The pink in her cheeks turned red as she stroked the back of his hand. "I'm sorry. I've always thought of you as the yummy IT guy. I should've let you know, but I didn't know how."

Yummy IT guy? Hell yeah, I would've loved to know that. Kurt laced his fingers with hers.

She closed her eyes, tilted her head back and presented soft, red lips. His heart stopped and he stared at her perfect face: thick eyelashes fringed on her cheeks, faint freckles dotting her nose, and a mouth made for kissing.

"You're beautiful."

One eye opened and glared at him. "You're clueless." She slid her arm around his neck and pulled him down until his lips touched hers.

The room spun and reality disappeared, leaving only his longed-for fantasy in his arms, kissing him, slipping her warm tongue into his mouth. He held her tight and savored that kiss, hoping it might be the first of many.

About The Author

I got hooked on trashy romance novels in junior high, but my mom took them away from me, But she couldn’t stop me from daydreaming. After I got married, I wrote some of my naughtier daydreams down and sent them to Playgirl magazine. Two of them got published. I kept daydreaming and writing stories until my dirty stories turned into trashy books.

I live in Colorado, but I’ll always be a loyal Wisconsin Cheesehead. When I’m not lusting after my next bad boy hero, I’m looking for inspiration in sci-fi and action movies, football players, morally ambiguous lawyers, muscle cars, and kick-butt chicks.

You can find me on Facebook, and on Twitter I’m known as Trashy Writer. I call myself a trashy writer because I want my readers to know that I enjoy mindless escapism as much as they do. I’m not out to win a Pulitzer Prize. (But I'm an award-winning finalist in erotica, USA Book News 2012.) I just want to help someone relax and get away from it all for a little while. I write romance, erotica and trash for fun and pleasure.

Book Description:

Jaimie Newberry is jobless, her rent is due, and her cat just died. On top of that, she was accused of embezzling before she was fired. When her friend invites her for a weekend of kinky fairytale role playing, she agrees to go as Cinderella. What has she got to lose when sex with a handsome prince is involved?

CEO Bryce Langston needs to know if Jamie is innocent of embezzlement or just very clever. He arranges for her to be his weekend sub but soon realizes the pretty scullery maid is naïve to the BDSM lifestyle. As her prince and her Dom, he intends to not only learn the truth but to make sure she has a fantasy come true.

Book Excerpt:

“What are you thinking?”

Flushing at his question, which sounded more like a demand, Jaimie wrinkled her nose. “I’m thinking that you have a very fine ass.”

He lifted a brow. “Eager to begin?”

When nervous or excited, Jaimie’s lips twitched on her left side, which made her a horrible poker player. Her lips were twitching now. “I’ve never—”

“I know,” he interrupted. “Let’s get back to business.” He flicked his wrist, and an envelope landed neatly on the table in front of her.

A bit put out by his abruptness, Jaimie lifted a brow but reached for the envelope. She eyed her partner warily.

“That is the result of my blood work, assuring you of my clean bill of health. I’ve seen yours.”

Jaimie scanned the single sheet of paper, noting that the name had been blacked out. She set it down. “Okay, what now?”

“Let’s talk about your sex life. I read the questionnaire you filled out and understand you’re game for a bit of light BDSM.”

“What?” The spit in Jaimie’s mouth dried. “What do you mean by light BDSM?” She was going to kill Lucy. She’d assumed many of the men and women she’d seen earlier were into some kinky stuff, but there’d been others wearing normal costumes. Like her.

“Dominant and submissive role playing.”

“Roles? As in I’m Cinderella and you’re the Prince?”

His lips curved in amusement. “Not quite. I am a Dominant who requires a submissive. I am your Dom and you are my sub. Those are our roles for the weekend.”

Jaimie stood. Yep. Her friend deserved a slow, torturous death. “I think there’s been a misunderstanding. I’m not into kinky sex or pain. I agreed to a weekend of free food, being waited on, and having sex with my prince charming.”

My Book Review:

Cinderella & Prince Dom is a sizzling erotic romance novella that features a kinky fairytale role play weekend with a BDSM twist!

Down on her luck Jaimie Newberry attends a fairytale weekend event as Cinderella looking for her Prince Charming. Unbeknownst to Jaimie, Prince Charming is her ex-boss, CEO Bryce Langston, and if that isn't enough ... the anticipated sex role play is more than just a fairytale, it is a BDSM themed event, and Jaimie is naive to that kind of sexual lifestyle!

Author Sydney St. Claire weaves an enticing little erotic romance novella that easily draws the reader into Jaimie and Bryce's sexy weekend adventure. The storyline is intriguing and intertwines a fairytale / BDSM themed role play weekend with a past working relationship between Jaimie and Bryce that has left some unresolved issues. I enjoyed the development of Jaimie and Bryce's relationship over the weekend, they shared a powerful connection and chemistry, and the BDSM sex was simply hot! I loved how Bryce's lessons in BDSM transformed a novice Jaimie into a mature woman, who was able to handle the sizzling weekend adventure, and stand on her own two feet.

If you are looking for a quick little afternoon fantasy read, then Cinderella & Prince Dom is the perfect erotic romance escape!

Sydney takes her readers into the world of erotica romance where her characters come together in explosive passion as they solve life's problems and find true love along with the best sex our hero and heroine have ever experienced.

Sydney resides in California. Her office is quite crowded with two small dogs at her feet, another huge girl in her recliner and five cats to keep her company while she writes. Three cats always insist on beds on her desk, barely leaving enough room for her monitor and keyboard. Life gets fun when all five insist on supervising...

When not writing, she enjoys crafts of all sorts including quilting, sewing, cross-stitch and knitting. Knitting and crochet are her current passions. She and her husband of 30 + years are avid gardeners. He takes care of the veggies, and Susan is in charge of the 'pretties'. Her medicine wheel garden is in a contact state of war: flowers vs. weeds. Sadly, right now the weeds are wining...

Camping, fishing, biking and hiking (when not hot) are other outdoor pursuits she and her husband enjoy. She is of course, an avid reader and hates cooking and housework. While writing, she listens to a wide variety of music, including Neil Diamond, Celtic, Native American, New Age, Classical, and mood music (bagpipes and howling wolves drive my family nuts). Her current favorites are Blackmore's Night and David Lanz.

Book Description:

Alex Rose is a 32-year-old divorced mother of two, looking for a better life for her and her sons. In search of answers, she returns to college to finally get that degree she’s always dreamed of. What she finds is something she wasn’t even looking for.

Mason Brooks is every girl’s dream: 21 years old, tall, with dirty blond hair that curls when it’s wet, sea-blue eyes, and dimples. Hot, sexy…and deliciously naïve and innocent.

Enter a tantalizing world where an average soccer mom utilizes her newfound knowledge of psychology to make life just a little more interesting. Follow along as Alex educates Mason on the art of seducing and pleasing a woman. Take notes as she introduces him to a whole new level of intensity and sexual pleasure. Study the sensual art of tantric sex as Alex creates her own style of silk and lace female dominance. This little tryst will never survive past college–but Alex is determined to enjoy it the fullest while it lasts.

Book Excerpt:

We spent the next several weeks until the end of the semester continuing our naughty little tryst on the afternoons after class. We would disappear to my house four days a week and play for hours. I had turned into the instructor and Mason my willing and eager student. And as time went by, he stayed later and later, under the guise of studying. At least until mid-May, when he mentioned to Max that he had played on his high school baseball team as catcher also. After that, Max was sold. As soon as he’d come home after school, he’d have Mason outside practicing. It wasn’t long before Max had invited him to watch his practices which, of course, led to Saturday morning games.

Lisa and Kim had gotten used to his presence and had stopped teasing me about my beanie boy, at least when he was around. However, the other moms . . . they were a problem. It was bad enough, in general, I was an easy ten years younger than the vast majority of them. Most were successful career women or die-hard stay at home moms. They viewed Lisa and me as social pariahs and a threat to their happy little lives. The married ones felt threatened that we’d flirt with their husbands and the divorced crones hated us for having something akin to a social life. The sidelines at any junior league sporting event reminded me of being back in high school it was so cliquey.

And the majority of these women were vicious. If their husbands so much as spoke to us, their claws came out. It was common to see any one of these women casually waltz over to her husband’s side, place a hand on his arm—a clear claim of ownership, and smile through her fangs as a warning. It was pathetic how sad these women were. They might as well pee a little circle all around their husbands cause that was exactly what they were doing. And the divorced ones were even worse. They truly considered us their competition if not their enemy. They envied our energy and our age. There was an invisible line drawn on every set of bleachers regardless of the sport.

Now, they wanted to begrudge me Mason. I could hear the whispers behind my back about his age, how they called me a cougar when they thought I couldn’t hear them, or the looks of disapproval they would glare at me whenever I looked their direction. I knew they were jealous. There was no way in hell these ladies could ever have a twenty-one year old cabana boy as sexy as Mason.

And it didn’t take long for word to spread. Memorial weekend, I was getting breakfast ready while the boys, Mason included, were playing X-box when my cell phone rang.

“Hello,” I answered without looking first at the number and immediately regretting it.

“Good morning, doll. How are you?” A familiar voice greeted me.

“What do you want Danny?” Annoyance immediately took over. “You know I got Max a cell phone so we don’t have to have these pleasant conversations.”

“I called to talk to you. I have been hearing some interesting things about you lately and I was curious. After all, I am concerned about my boys.”

“Good grief, Danny. What do you want?” I flipped the blueberry pancakes and leaned against the counter.

“I heard you were having a naughty little affair with the paper boy,” he said, trying not to laugh.

“What? Who told you that?” That was the very last thing I expected to come out of his mouth.

“A little birdie told me.”

“Imagine that.” Max must have told him about Mason helping him with baseball and how much time he was spending over here, even after our class was done.

“So, how old is this kid anyway?”

“What I do or who I do is none of your business, Danny.” I tapped my fingers on the counter.

“It’s my business when he’s spending so much time with my sons,” he countered.

“You gave up that right when you gave me sole custody and decided to move across the country. You have no right to say anything about what I do. I would never do anything inappropriate around them, in front of them, or anywhere near them. You know I wouldn’t. Don’t you give me any shit. God only knows what you’re doing down there.” I walked out onto the back deck so no one would hear me.

“Geez, Alex, don’t get your panties in a bunch. I was just teasing you.” He laughed. “Seriously, though, how old is this kid?”

“That’s none of your damn business.” He’s such an ass.

“Oh come on, I’m only playing. What happened to your sense of humor? You used to have one.” He chuckled.

“I don’t know, maybe it went away when my low-life of a husband cheated on me?” I stated flatly.

“Ouch, you might want to get that checked soon. Alex, or you could turn into a real bitter bitch.” His laughter made me wish I could slap him across his smug face.

“I’m hanging up now.”

“Wait, Alex. Seriously, Max told me you were happy.” His laughter died away. “He said you try to play off that you two are only friends but he knows there’s something going on between you two. He said he can tell by the way Mason looks at you that he’s in love with you.”

“Max told you that?” I turned around and looked at my back door half expecting Mason or Max to be standing there.

“Yes, he told me that last night. So why are you trying to hide your relationship from the boys? You obviously like this man,” Danny inquired.

“Jesus, Danny. Really? Why do you think? Mason is younger than me.” I sighed audibly. “Okay, a lot younger than me. He’s twenty-one.” I closed my eyes and waited for that to sink in.

“Good Lord, Alex. He’s a child! What the hell are you thinking?” He laughed again. “When Max said younger than you, I was thinking he was twenty-six or twenty-eight, not twenty-one!”

“It’s just a fling, Danny. That’s all.”

“Does he know that?”

“I don’t know,” I answered honestly.

“You may want to tell him before this kid gets too attached to you or the boys to him,” he pointed out. I hated him for actually acting like the responsible adult when I should have been.

“I know,” I whispered. “I will.”

My Book Review:

Alexandra (Alex) Rose is a thirty-two year old divorced mother of two sons, who decides to return to college to complete her degree. I her Sociology class, Alex is paired up for an assignment with twenty-one year old classmate Mason Brooks. What starts out as a classmate friendship develops into something more when they become attracted to each other. Alex and Mason embark on a sexual journey that is anything but casual ... but it's supposed to be just a fling ... or is it?!

What I Really Learned In College is an entertaining erotic romance that features an older woman - younger man sexual relationship. Author Addison Winters weaves a steamy tale that easily draws the reader into Alex and Mason's friends to lovers relationship. I loved that Alex plays the role of sexual teacher with a touch of domination in the bedroom, it's not often that you see that in erotic romance stories, so I found it refreshing, enjoyable, and rather titillating. I also enjoyed the intertwining storyline of how Alex's family, friends, and ex-hubby react to her relationship with Mason, and how she handles the variety of reactions from them. The story has a surprising twist when Mason's single father Hayden enters into the picture, but alas ... the author leaves the reader with a cliffhanger ending that leaves them wanting more, only to make them wait for Alex and Mason's story to continue in the second book in the series.
