Book Description:

You know the story.
Boy meets girl, they fall in love, two kids, white picket fence.
This isn’t that story.

This is more like . . .
Man meets woman. Man sleeps with woman.
Man meets another woman, sleeps with her.
And so on. You get the idea.

I own a small boutique hotel in New Orleans, the Kingston. I’ve seen men do some stupid stuff in the name of the woman they love, or at least the woman they love for the night.

That’s not me. I’m always in control. You’d be surprised how much you can get away with on just good manners and a smile. It’s the only way to keep my secrets safely locked away.

And my smile hides a lot. Until her.

She turns me down flat. Playing hard to get is my favorite game. It’s the thrill of the chase.

Only problem is, I think it’s me that’s getting caught.

Book Excerpt:

Dr. Lorraine laughs and pulls out her prescription pad.  Scribbling something, she turns it to me.  The title reads: The sex diet.

I bust out laughing.  “You’re writing me a sex prescription.”

“Sort of,” she says.  “You ever gone on a diet before?”

“No.”

“The thing with diets is, you usually start off strict.”

“How did I know that?”

“No touching by either party, not even kissing.”

“Wait, not even a hand job?” I ask.

“You’ve got your own hands.  Use them.”

She writes jerking off on her script pad, then puts a checkmark beside it.  This is the craziest shit.

“Once a day as needed,” she says, writing that down.

“I’ll never make it.”

“How many times do you want?” she asks.

“At least twice, morning and before bed.”

She shakes her head.  “Okay, twice a day,” she says and points her pencil at me.  “That’s it.”

“I really don’t think I need . . .”

“You won’t be released from therapy until I’m satisfied you’ve completed this,” she says.

She has me by the balls, and she knows it.  I can’t believe I’m being forced to agree to this, but what choice do I have?  “I haven’t had sex in a couple days.  Can I get credit for that?”

“No,” she laughs out.  “Start fresh today.”

“Porn?”

“What about it?”

“Can I use it?” I ask.

“You don’t have enough memories to sustain you?” she asks.

“Good point.”

She gets to her feet and sticks out her hand.  “Good luck.”

Shaking her hand and smiling, I’m sure I’ve got this.

I bite the inside of my mouth, realizing the old lady has tricked me.  It’s Thursday.  I’m not seeing her again until Tuesday.

That’s five days!  Shit, what have I done?

Book Teasers:

My Book Review:

To The Fall is a compelling story about New Orleans hotel owner Pierce Kingston, who is used to getting what he wants and is always in control of his life ... that is until his traumatic past comes to the surface and he meets fellow hotel owner Sutton Presley, a strong woman who gives him a run for his money and teaches him how to love and have a real relationship.

Author Prescott Lane weaves a hauntingly beautiful tale that takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride as they follow Pierce's story. This is a compelling story that will tug at the heartstrings but will also make the reader a believer in the ability to overcome life's heartaches and challenges and get a chance at finding true love.

The story has enough pain, heartache, loss, drama, romance, angst, humor, and tender romantic moments that will easily captivate the reader's attention. As I began to read Pierce's story, I wanted to hate this smug manwhore, but as his story unravels with flashbacks to his traumatic childhood, you can't help but change your opinion when Pierce's hidden goodness slowly is revealed when he allows himself to give up control of himself and fall in love with Sutton. The slow building development of Pierce and Sutton's relationship makes this compelling story worth the read, as their connection and sexual chemistry is put to the test by the remnants of Pierce's cocky player ways and his dark traumatic past. You can't help but feel compassion for Pierce and Sutton as their story unfolds with intriguing twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages, and hoping that they will get their chance at love.

I loved how the author draws the reader in as Pierce struggles with his deep traumatic scars and emotional baggage, but with Sutton's help, he learns to conquer his inner demons and heal. The emotional drama, and a slow smoldering craving and build up of sexual tension leading up to a passionate romance that will send tingles down your spine. Author Lane Prescott sure knows how to weave a powerful love story that will simply leave a reader breathless.

To The Fall has an intriguing cast of characters who are realistic, flawed, and easy to relate to; witty dialogue and engaging interactions; and a breathtakingly compelling and powerful storyline that will take you on a hauntingly beautiful journey where you will experience the full gamut of emotions. If you are looking for a hopeful, passionate, and heartwarming love story that follows the journey of a broken man who learns to let go of his dark past and open himself up to a healing and loving relationship with a strong woman, then To The Fall is the story for you!

To The Fall is an amazing romance story of love, hope, happiness, and moving forward in life that will resonate with you for a very long time.

RATING: 5 STARS
